MAXIT
The week started with Show and Tell activity talking about our Super Moms and Dads. The kids had pictures of their parents and they mentioned how their moms and dads were so special to them. On Tuesday a colorful paper strip swirling toy was made by the kids. On Wednesday we did a number and color concept amalgamation with Duplo. The kids were given a certain color and number combination and based on that they were supposed to build/create a duplo structure. It was so fun. On Thrusday we did our morning circle admist the nature. This forest trip was very freshening. Friday was Gym/Yoga Day, so musical chair game (with Yoga poses pictures pasted on chairs) was conducted. It was a strength builder and fun game. This week was a magnificent learning experience.

Thursday: Sello Library Trip (Will leave by 9.00)

VISKARIT & MESTARIT
The highlight of the week was our trip to the Fire station in Helsinki. We went there on a sunny Wednesday and enjoyed a grand tour organized by a Viskarit parent. We tried different equipment and observed spaces used during emergencies. We played with Logico and geoboards to practice our skills in math and logic. We continued our Mother’s Day project in our arts and crafts session. During our Language Arts class, Viskarit read their new book ‘RUB-A-DUB’ while revising the previous book ‘JIG AND MAG’ and Mestarit continued reading their book ‘Fun in the Sun’. They practiced their presentation and speaking skills by reciting their poems ‘After a Bath’ (Viskarit) and ‘Spring, Spring’ (Mestarit) during every morning circle. We practiced writing three letter words in upper case (Vis) and in both upper and lower case (Mes). Mestarit also enjoyed their Finnish lessons following the workbook. Our physical education class included choreographed dancing and rehearsal for the spring party.
For Vappu party, Viskarit and Mestarit can dress up and put on a hat if they would like.
We will start the Spring/ Graduation party from 15:00 instead of 15:45.
