VISKARIT & MESTARIT
Dear families, this week in the Viskarit and Mestarit class we have done many things that the children had enjoyed. In the Viskarit class we had a math session, the children have learnt about numbers and colours. They have learnt to count, to recognize numbers and to match colours. Each Viskarit has improved their counting by learning new numbers as well as to be able to recognize which numbers were presented to them on a card. They have built towers using Unifix cubes to match the colours that were shown to them. The Jack and beanstalk story was read to them which they enjoyed a lot, consequently they drew pictures related to the story. The Viskarit have been working hard on their Father’s Day project which they are excited to show to you all. We thank you all for coming to our Father’s Day celebration and we hope you have enjoyed the photo shoot with our handmade picture frames and the yummy snacks.
Mestaris finished their Father´s Day projects and then concentrated into the fun world of mathematics on Tuesday and Finnish language on Thursday. Our whole week has been around our national writer Zacharias Topelius; we read numerous fairy tales that he´s written, we walked through a street that is named after him and even played in a park named after him. Next week we are going to extend our curiosity and make a trip to see his statue in Punavuori. One highlight in Mestaris week was to have a playdate in Topelius park with first graders from Töölö ala-aste, bilingual class. Such a fun trip, for sure we will see them soon again!
MIDI-MAXIT
Tällä viikolla olemme lasten kanssa saatu nauttia vaihtelevasta säästä, joista sadesää ja siihen kuuluvat vesi- ja kuraleikit olivat lasten mielestä selkeä ykkönen. Viikko alkoi tuttuun tapaan muskarilla ja Annan kirjaprojektilla (satutuokio). Retki Lastenlehdon leikkipuistoon sujui ERITTÄIN hyvin ja lapset tykkäsivät uudesta leikkipuistosta. Keskiviikkona Midit askartelivat, jolloin Maxeilla oli pienryhmätoimintaa, jonka teemana oli: missä lapsi on omasta mielestään hyvä ja ystävyystaidot. Miten hyvä ystävä toimii ja auttaa kaveria, ja miten hyvä ystävä ei toimi. Peikkopuiston isänpäiväjuhlat onnistuivat sateen taukoamisen johdosta hienosti ja saatiin hyviä valokuvia aikaiseksi. Torstain ulkojumpassa teemana oli kropan hallinta ja tasapainotaidot. Lapset saivat harjoitella lankulla- ja tukeilla tasapainoilua, jonka lisäksi kiipeiltiin penkkien päälle ja hypittiin alas, jonka lisäksi oli kiipeilytelineen kiipeilyä. Viikko päätettiin rooli- ja mielikuvitusleikkeihin.
