Minis last week:
“Leaves are falling, Autumn is calling” … Fall is here! And this year it has been so beautiful, same as our past week!
On Monday we had our regular play day and on Tuesday we redecorate our windows using the leaves we found in our yard and nearby areas. Our minis did a great job using sponges and choosing their favourite colours for our window painting .
All children enjoyed our weekly music class with a very well known, loved guest: “Siili” and we continued with fall inspired songs and dances as well as with a new instrument “rain stick”. The last day of the week we read the story: “Kalle-Karhu tahtoo lisää”; our minis paid well attention to the story and we learnt a new song about the colour of the leaves in Fall: orange, yellow, red and brown.

Last week in the Midi-Maxi group:
We started our three week project about the little mermaid. Our main focus is making a musical production video. The video will tell the story about the little mermaid by storytelling, singing, dancing and even gymnastics. For this production we keep in mind the children’s age, level and interests. Every child will have a different roll in the production. The video will be send to the parents when it is ready. Along side of this musical production, we are also learning about life under the sea. Some of the children have already gotten very excited and even ask their parents for books about sea creatures. Wonderful! We are so looking forward to the upcoming weeks of this exciting project.
