VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
On this rainy week we have had fun baking butter buns for the charity activity. Children were organised into four colour (orange, green, purple and yellow) groups to complete different stages of the baking. Children have also had fun bring their own toys and keeping them at the daycare for the week. They have been sharing their toys very kindly with each other.

VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 2 / THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 2:
Delfiinit / Dolphins:
Dolphins have had a very active week. We began our week with some relaxing free play and practiced recycling by sorting our trash into the right coloured bins. On Monday, we also had a children’s meeting where children got to vote where they would like to go on our next trip and what they would like to do. As you can guess, trip to a playground got the most votes. On Tuesday’s arts day, we practiced drawing shapes and with that we each drew a picture of ourselves. Wednesday’s music school was quite exciting as we got to practice playing new instruments such as ukulele. On Thursday, we did animal yoga/ exercise which was a lot of fun. The children got to each choose a wild or a farm animal and show us how the said animal moves, which the rest of the group tried to follow. We then also talked about the difference between wild and farm animals in the morning circle and listened to songs related to the theme. On Friday we took a very awaited trip to the National history museum, for which children left from the day care already very happy. On the way to the museum we talked about all the animals we remember seeing there from the last time. It was most exciting thing to see the BIG Dinosaurs, Mammoths, Lions, Moose, Tigers, Shark, Foxes, Birds and so much more! This was the absolute highlight of everyone’s week!
Merihevoset / Seahorses:
Maanantaina aloitimme uuden viikon leikkien merkeissä. Aamupiirissä harjoittelimme värejä ja muotoja sekä lauloimme lasten lempilauluja. Tiistaina lähdimme retkelle metsään. Retkellä lapset saivat vapaasti leikkiä metsässä ja tutkia ympäristöä. Kaikki olivat innoissaan metsästä löytyvistä aarteista kuten kävyistä ja kepeistä. Pidimme myös aamupiirin metsässä, jossa mietimme mm. mitä metsässä voi tehdä ja mitä värejä metsästä löytyy. Torstaina askartelimme syksyisiä puita, joissa tekniikkana käytimme omenapainantaa. Lapsista oli hassua maalata oikeaa omenaa ja painaa sillä paperiin kuvia. Perjantaina leikimme omilla leluilla ja ulkona kokkasimme yhdessä erilaisia ruokia hiekasta, kastanjoista ja maahan pudonneista lehdistä.
