Minien uusi viikko alkoi muskarin parissa, täynnä musiikin iloa ja riemua. Tällä viikolla vietettiin myös Ankkalammessa ”Leikkiviikkoa”! Leikkiviikolla leikin merkitystä muistettiin erityisen paljon, toki leikki on aina tärkeä osa Minien päiviä ja joka viikkoista ohjelmaa. Leikin kautta Minut harjoittelevat esim. sosiaalisia taitoja ja kieltä. Viikkoa ilahdutti myös aina odotettu retkipäivä, tällä kertaa Minien suuntana oli kaunis Esplanadin puisto. Retki meni oikein hienosti ja lapset bongasivat taas matkalla valtavasti mielenkiintoisia asioita. Minit ihastelivat värikkäitä kukkia, paloautoja, katusoittajia ja patsaita. Viikko päätettiin sadutukseen, jolloin lapset pääsivät luomaan omaa kevättarinaa. Sadutus parhaimmillaan tukee lasten kielen kehitystä, itseilmaisua ja rikastuttaa mielikuvitusta. Sadutusta voi toteuttaa helposti eri muodoissa ja tyyleillä, ja lopputuloksista syntyy aina erilaisia ja ainutlaatuisia kokonaisuuksia. Myös oman lelun päivä toi viikkoon paljon iloa! Lapset pääsivät harjoittelemaan oman lelun jakamista ja esittelemään oman lelunsa. Kotoa tuodut lelut myös toivat leikkeihin uusia ideoita & tukivat lasten leikkiin sitoutumista pidemmäksi aikaa, mitä oli hieno seurata päivän aikana. Ensi viikolla nähdään! 😊
Midis/Maxis had this week’s PLAY theme. The first thing that comes to mind for Midis/Maxis is Physical Play. Some examples are playing tag, dancing to music, and play catch. For Midis/Maxis started the week with Physical play which of course continues to develop their fine and gross motor skills in. It also helps with balance, hand-eye coordination, muscle development, and more. For Midis/Maxis this play theme week was based on by playing will strengthen them. Play makes them motivated it helps them solve problems. Midis/Maxis also shown a boost of creativity by using toys and other pedagogical material available to them. It also helped their relationship in the group, and it had also built resilience. During Midis/Maxis childhood play in the kindergarten they also practiced their verbal communication, body language, boundaries, cooperation, and teamwork. As educators, we continue to refine these skills through play and playful communication. Play also teaches them cooperation with others., it is utmost important that play is used part of a powerful catalyst for positive socialization. During this whole week play had stimulated curiosity and in future it supports also lifelong learning. During imaginative play Midis/Maxis played on adult and make-believe roles and created and explored a way they seek to master. This self-discovery and exploration help build a better brain and ideally sparks a love of learning for the sheer joy vs a specific end goal. Midis/Maxis had played and created such nice plays that it had been a pleasure seeing them interact with one another. Midis/Maxis used playthings from household items, built a den, pedagogical exercises, own toy week and presentation, home play and picnic, dressing up, hopscotch, chill out den and traditional games and activities.
This week Viskari have started with Muskari class . MestariViskaris club have focused on alphabets and initial sounds. On daily basis we have had different kind of games in which combined learning letters, initial sounds and physical activity. This way all kids are enjoying the games, and everyone can participate in their own level and have fun. Preschoolers have been focusing this week writing numbers & counting objects. On Tuesday’s trip to Tervasaari we first played some alphabet games and after that we concentrated on measuring. We divided kids to pairs and each pair had first one-meter-long string. We were first wondering together how we can use the string to measure and after that each pair had a task to find something one meter long. Kids found for example one-meter-long sticks. They have used also rulers to measure smaller objects from the nature. This week arts & crafts we combined science and creativity. Viskari have made cool crystals from pipe cleaners & sugarwater. This activity is great for developing motor skills and coordination. On Thursday , viskari-Eskari have practiced number through measure different objects in our room with a ruler. On Friday mestari-Viskaris have brought their favorite soft toy .
