Kapteenit palasivat iloisella mielellä takaisin päiväkotiin, rentouttavan joululoman vietosta. Kaikista oli ihanaa nähdä taas tärkeitä kavereita ja päästä jatkamaan yhteisiä leikkejä. Suurta iloa lasten viikkoon on tuonut puistoon satanut lumi, joka on mahdollistanut mm. pulkkaleikit sekä muut lumipuuhat. Erityisesti lumiukko porkkananenän kera on ilahduttanut lapsia kovasti. Osa lapsista kokeili myös tehdä lumienkeleitä lumen pintaan. Viikolla olemme myös kuulleet satuhetkellä eri vuodenajoista sekä laulaneet talvisia lauluja. Tästä on hyvä startata uusi kevätkausi, uusia kokemuksia ja seikkailuja odottaen!
Kipparien viikko on ollut täynnä talven riemua. Olemme nauttineet päivittäin pitkistä ulkoilusta lumessa puuhastellen. Lumesta on rakennettu ukkoja, eläinten pesiä ja linnoja. Pulkan vetäminen yhdessä ystävien kanssa on ollut Kipparien suosikkipuuhaa. Viikon kohokohtana oli retki Kaisaniemenpuistoon pulkkamäkeen. Teimme viikolla myös värjätystä vedestä jäisiä positiivisuustimantteja, jotka Kipparit saivat palkinnoksi perjantaina erityisen onnistuneesta viikosta. Ensiviikolla aloitamme tarkemmat tutkimukset lumen eri olomuodoista! Peukut pystyyn, että talviset säät jatkuvat.
New Year, New Beginning for the Sailors! Little by little, we got most of the crew back on board this week after the relaxing and refreshing Christmas holiday. The kind and intelligent Sailors not only comforted, kept warm company of, took very good care of and played creatively together in the form of teamwork with one another but also welcomed our little siblings and other friends from the other groups, bearing the spirit of “I+YOU=WE” in mind all the time like what we had been doing last Semester. Thanks to the heavy and clean snow that we had expected for so long, we built our this winter’s first snowman full of “hair” wearing a pair of glasses together by rolling big snowballs, forming snow bricks with a metallic bucket, packs of carrots and potatoes, a banana and branches! We also made our very first snow lantern that stood on the ground firmly! Not leaving anyone behind, we formed and sat in lines of slides and tested how many horse powers Wei has. So far so good and Wei hasn’t reached the limit yet. As we wished after completing all the packs of LEGO before the holiday, we opened a new pack of Cargo Train, and with the wonderful teamwork contributed by everyone everyday we already made the remote-controlled engine run on the tracks after assembling hundreds of bricks together again! We also shared beautiful and colourful frozen ice “diamonds” brought by a Sailor, and inspired by this wonderful idea we will make more next week in the freezing cold weather as well as experiencing winter experiments! Another Sailor generously lent us the amazing LEGO London Skyline set and we will complete it with care soon! Next week we will continue our voyage and leave the South Harbour of Helsinki to Poland, the home country of the scientist Madame Curie, Virtuoso Chopin and Maestro Arthur Rubinstein and many more.
