THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
This week we have started to focus to the story theme, starting with the children making their own story books based on their home life. The children had a chance to draw their own books, depicting what their home life is like including about their home is like, who they live with and what their favourite things to do at home are. This way the children begin to tell their own stories, being the authors of their own life story. We also had a very sunny and energetic trip to the athletics park where the children got the chance to try long jump, both individually and in pairs.

Merihevoset / Seahorses
Viikko käynnistettiin ihanan raikkaassa ja aurinkoisessa säässä pitkään ulkoillen. Rakentelimme erilaisia hiekkakakkuja, pelattiin palloa ja innostuimme juoksentelemaan kavereiden perässä naureskellen. Tiistain askartelussa tutustuttiin sormiväreihin. Merihevoset olivat innokkaita maalaajia ja saimme hienoja taideteoksia valmiiksi. Keskiviikon muskarissa soittelimme marakasseja ja lauloimme tuttuja lauluja Riikan kanssa. Loppuviikon jumpassa harjoittelimme erilaisien eläimien liikkeitä. Ja perjantaina ulkoilimme omalla pihalla.
Delfiinit / Dolphins
The dolphins have been spending a lot of time outdoors this week and been enjoying the beginning of autumn weather. Our week started with some free indoor and outdoor play, and we got familiarized with new board games, from which Choco was our favourite. The music school went well as usual, and the children enjoyed getting back to the weekly music school routine. On Thursday, the dolphins took a very long trip to the nearby forest where we also had our morning circle and learned about colours. Our week ended with some PE activities and the children had a lot of fun running through the obstacle course and learning to balance on various surfaces as well as walking sideways and backwards.
