VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1: / THIS WEEK IN LAHANALAHTI 1:
Mestari began this week with an introduction to scouts (partio) from a scout’s member within their group. They had the opportunity to listen to the wide range of activities and some of the topics possible to learn through the scouts group! During this, maxis were window painting the unit back to life with some more vibrant colours ready for this spring season. Some challenging weather conditions forced us inside for Tuesday morning and we were visited by Riika for this weeks music school! Wednesday resumes us with another Mestari lesson, this time with a marketing theme as the group designed their very own adverts! Meanwhile, Maxis took advantage of this latest snowfall and enjoyed some sledging… lets hope that’s the last for this spring! With Scouts featuring during this week, both groups ventured out to different forests for separate activities. Maxis took the bus up to Vattuniemi coastline for a walk is search of wildlife. The children were keen to look out for snakes but fortunately… we didn’t find any! Friday ends our week with some preparations for the upcoming Mothers Day!

VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 2 / THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 2:
Delfiinit / Dolphins:
Dolphins’ week began with a trip to the library. There, a librarian read some spring related animal books to us which all children listened to very well. On Tuesday, we has fine motor skills day and practiced cutting with scissors for our craft for later. We also had a fun music exercise together with the seahorses this morning. In addition to outdoor playtime, our Wednesday’s music school was vehicles themed and we sang songs about cars and travelling. Thursday we continued our Mother’s day crafts and practiced drawing images. On Friday we played in small groups with our toys where children used their imagination skills to create new worlds of legos, blocks, costumes, etc. to fit with their own toys. We finally ended our week with exercise games indoors such as musical chair, hot potato and captain says, out of which musical chair remains their favourite still.
Children have also enjoyed playing in muddy puddles yet again this week and have had a chance to practice wearing rain gear by themselves. In addition, this week we have read books, practiced colours in both languages and played table games.
Merihevoset/ Seahorses:
Maanantaina aloitimme viikon leikin merkeissä niin sisällä kuin ulkona. Tällä viikolla olemmekin päässeet taas lumi- ja kuraleikkien pariin. Tiistain retki peruuntui lumisateen seurauksena, ja sen sijaan pidimme yhtä lasten lempiaktiviteettia musiikkijumppaa yhdessä Delfiinien kanssa. Erityisesti Ti-Ti Nallen eri jumppalaulut sekä Party freeze dance song ovat olleet lasten suosiossa. Keskiviikkona muskarissa laulettujen kevätlaulujen lisäksi lapset suuntasivat pöytähommiin nappuloiden, piirtämisen ja palapelien pariin. Torstaina jatkoimme äitienpäivä yllätysten askartelua. 😊 Perjantaina ulkoilun jälkeen oli vuorossa eläinjoogaa, jossa kaikki olivat hienosti mukana harjoitellen esimerkiksi kirahvi, perhonen sekä koira -asentoja. Loppuun teimme vielä rentoutusharjoituksen hierontapalloilla hieroen ja rauhoittavaa musiikkia kuunnellen.
