VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
Here in Lahnalahti 1, our week began with some final preparations for the highly anticipated Grandparents visit. We rehearsed for both songs before visiting the local library to update the book selection. On Tuesday, we visited up at the Lauttasaari church for another Music school. The children had been noticing the signs of spring, already preparing for summer activities whilst we walked! Wednesday brought us this weeks highlight where Grandparents were able to visit inside the kindergarten. The children had prepared two songs to start the morning which were beautifully delivered! They then spent the morning looking through folders to showcase the completed work from throughout recent years! On Thursday we began with a free-play session as the children brought toys from home. Later, we all enjoyed an Easter egg hunt inside the kindergarten, making sure to find the most challenging of hiding places.

VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 2 / THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 2:
Delfiinit / Dolphins
Pääsiäisviikon Delfiinit aloittivat viimeistelemällä viime viikon askarteluja sekä ulkoleikeistä nauttien. Tiistaina vietimme aamupäivää yhdessä isovanhempien sekä muiden tärkeiden aikuisten kanssa. Olimme kutsuneet heidät päiväkotiin juhlimaan kanssamme Pääsiäistä. Lapset pääsivät istuttamaan pääsiäisruohoja sekä maalaamaan pääsiäismunia heidän kanssaan. Oli, myös hienoa nähdä lapset esittelemässä innokkaana päiväkotia ja omia kansioitaan läheisilleen. Viikkoon mahtui, myös Pääsiäisteemainen muskari, jossa mukana oli muun muassa tipuja. Torstaina ennen lomaa lapset pääsivät etsimään suklaamunia, joita oli piilotettu ympäri päiväkotia. Hyvää Pääsiäistä kaikille!
Merihevoset / Seahorses:
Tsirp! Tsiiirp! While the weather tried to pretend otherwise, the Sea Horses celebrated the coming Spring with the ever-cheerful Easter celebrations. After an easy free-play Monday, on Tuesday came the definite highlight of the week during the much-awaited grandparents visit. There, the children enjoyed cookies and juice with their (other) favourite adults, while browsing their own craft folders and photo albums. Rolling up their sleeves, our little ones paired up with their elders and got to work: the colourful planters made last week were put to good use with soil and seed, and lovingly decorated with painted eggs.
On Wednesday came Muskari, with a very topical … (muskari easter theme), and finally today Thursday the kids enjoyed some outdoor play and an indoor egg hunt, set to sprightly classical music for a bit of colour. It seems a yellow plush duckie is perfectly able to lay a chocolate egg, and eventually hide it in all sorts if silly places.
Do remember to check your child’s backpack for the chocolates.
