Eskari/Midis
It’s been another week where both groups spend a lot of time together for the indoor and outdoor activities. We have less than 2 weeks before the Spring party and have been making the final preparations for the puppet show set and practicing the performance several times before the big day. We also spent a lot of time outdoors together as we traveled to Kruununvuorenranta to the park that has many fun activities for the children to develop their gross motor skills. The obvious favorite are the various climbing walls dotted around the park. We also travelled to the city together where the midis had story time at the Oodi library and the Eskari met with other Ankkalampi groups to celebrate the Lego Masters competition and the last day of preschool . Indeed it was the last week of preschool and the Eskari group started to understand Finnish currency during their numeracy session. Nevertheless, despite the official end to the preschool season we will continue with some activities relating to money before the end of the daycare season. The group also enjoyed the swimming trip together as we will do also next Monday.
The Midis enjoyed a lovely butterfly yoga activity in the forest. Through movement, music, and imagination, the children shared a calm and fun experience surrounded by nature. After yoga, they continued exploring and playing freely in the forest together with their friends.
In addition, the children created a beautiful snail craft inspired by the snails they discovered during our forest outings, connecting their discoveries in nature with creativity. 🌿🦋🐌
As preschool has now officially ended most of the activities will be common and we aim to spend as much time as possible outdoors. Please keep an eye on the daily weather forecast to ensure that the children have the suitable clothing for the activities.
