MINIT AND MIDIT:
🐥What a wonderful week of learning, exploring, and having fun together! The theme of this week was, “Let’s Explore Together!” 🌳💚 Our Mini-Midis have been busy making new discoveries while practicing important skills through play. We are also happy to welcome our new Mini to the group! 💛 Our newest little friend has been practicing our daily routines and is gradually settling into daycare life. We are so proud of all our children for being kind and supportive.
🐻 Monday – Friendship with Kaveri-Nalle: We met Kaveri-Nalle, who helps us remember that everyone should feel safe and that everyone deserves a friend. Together we talked about friendship and asked the children who their friends are. Some children proudly named themselves as their own best friend, and one of our creative Minis even introduced us to an imaginary friend! 💕
🐝 Tuesday – Math with Math Bee: Our little mathematicians had lots of fun! The Midis counted little animals and balls all the way up to 5. 🐻⚽️1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣4️⃣5️⃣ Meanwhile, our Minis explored the concepts of big and small by sorting toys into the correct areas. They did an amazing job recognizing different sizes! 👏
🦉 Wednesday – Forest Exploration: With Curious Owl leading the adventure, our little explorers visited the forest near the playground. Armed with magnifying glasses 🔍, they searched for pinecones, sticks, and stones before sorting their treasures into different boxes. 🌲🪵🪨 The children showed wonderful curiosity and observation skills while enjoying nature together.
🏃♀️ Friday – Active Bodies, Active Minds: We finished the week with movement and smiles! 🎶 The Minis chose either a big or small object and danced along to the music, practicing size recognition while moving their bodies. 💃🕺 The Midis jumped through hoops while trying to count confidently to 5, combining physical activity with maths learning. 🤸♀️🔢

MAXIT:
Dear lovely guardians,
We had a wonderful and exciting week filled with new experiences, learning, teamwork, and self-discovery!
We started the week On Friday with a fun trip to the forest. It was a great opportunity to explore nature, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time together in a different environment. Maxis had a lovely time discovering and experiencing the beauty of the forest.
Tuesday was my first day at MAXIS, and it was a very special and exciting experience! We took some lovely pictures together using a fun picture frame. Everyone enjoyed posing, smiling, and being silly for the camera. After taking pictures, we spent time having fun and enjoying each other’s company. It was a great way to start our journey at MAXIS.
On Wednesday, we enjoyed a variety of team-building games. The activities encouraged us to work together, communicate, listen to one another, and support our teammates. It was a fun way to build stronger connections while learning the importance of teamwork.
Thursday brought the introduction of our Morning Circle Calendar. This will help us begin each day with a sense of routine and awareness. Through the calendar, we can talk about the day, date, weather, and other important parts of our daily lives. It is a wonderful way to start the morning together.
We ended the week On Friday by exploring the theme of “Knowing Yourself” through self-portraits. Maxis had the opportunity to observe themselves in a mirror and express their own unique features through art. This activity encouraged self-awareness, creativity, and appreciation of what makes each person special.
Overall, it was a meaningful and memorable week. We are looking forward to another week of learning, exploring, and growing together!

VISKARIT AND MESTARIT:
Hello Lovely Families! 😊
We’ve had an incredible week strengthening our team bonds, learning about one another, and officially kicking off our Viskari and Preschool learning routines!
- Monday 🫐🌲: We headed into the forest alongside our Maxi group friends. We went foraging for delicious blueberries and took the lead in teaching our Maxi friends the essential rules of the forest.
- Tuesday 🔖😊: We focused on learning more about our classmates! Everyone created colorful ”All About Me” bookmarks and had a great time discovering shared interests and fun facts about their friends.
- Wednesday 🏗️🏝️: It was all about team building with the Maxi group! First, we collaborated to construct a massive building out of giant blocks. Afterwards, we played a game called ”Shrinking Islands,” working together and supporting each other so no one fell into the imaginary ”water.”
- Thursday 🌟: The official first day of Preschool and Viskari! We kicked off the morning by learning our new calendar routine. Then, we had an exciting Teams meeting with our Preschool buddies over at Töölö Ankkalampi! We shared what we want to learn this year and decided it would be super fun to meet up in person later on. In the afternoon, the Preschoolers jumped into their very first math lesson, reviewing the number line and practicing writing numbers.
- Friday 🪞🎨: We slowed down a bit to create self-portraits. We looked closely in mirrors at our facial features, discussing all the different shapes and details we could see. To end the week, the Preschoolers enjoyed their very first Bluebox games session, learning how to play each game and practicing how to pack everything away perfectly!
