What a lovely, sunny week! Spring is just around the corner.
A glimpse of Australian culture was the highlight of this week. Discussions about vehicles when traveling from Finland to Australia, and a very nice virtual visit to get to know the country better was enjoyed by the children. During the visit, we learned not only cute and friendly animals, but scary ones as well. This was our inspiration to do different animal movements to move those tiny hands and legs, as the theme for our outdoor gym by the front stairs of the Parliament House. The little ones hopped like a kangaroo, crawled like a crocodile, galloped like a koala, and moved like a scorpion, to name a few. Also, we got to enjoy the morning sun while having discussions about the buildings nearby and names/colours of different vehicles too. To complete the fun for this week, a play day in Temppeliaukio Park chosen by the children was a wish came true. Next week, our journey to Australia continues. A great weekend to all!
