Another frosty week has passed, it is time to have a look at the different activities loved and enjoyed by the little ones. The obstacle course during our gym day made a good use of the children’s overflowing energy and developing motor skills by learning different movements such as jumping on the trampoline, hopping on the hoops, walking on the balancing rocks, and crawling through the tunnel. Discussions about police cars, ambulance, and fire trucks, as well as listening activity to recognize their sounds and an opportunity for every child to show their friends how to put off the fire (painted cardboard on the wall) using a water spray, made the 112-Day very interesting and fun. Oh, Doctor Anny from the Waterlilies paid us a visit! Also, we will not let this week go without celebrating Valentine’s Day. The dance floor was full of life when children danced with their friends, shared their laughter, and enjoyed each other’s company. Cards made by the little ones for their siblings in the big side and for other groups – Reeds, Waterlilies and Waterstars, were delivered. Finally, our trip to China has come to an end! Our very own fortune cookie (Moomin cookies and quotes hidden inside the paper fortune cookies) received by every child in the group, and the children’s fireworks painting made the Chinese New Year celebration a good one. Kung hei fat choi!!! And a great weekend to all!
