MIDIT: Christmas is just around the corner and this week it has been all about that festivity! We have started the week with a nice arts activity where children have coloured and decorated Christmas balls to put first around the daycare and to bring home later. We have also had a nice Christmas story called “the night before Christmas” and played with a Christmas memory game together, children had to look for Christmassy pictures based on Christmas trees, stars, elf’s, gifts, Santa Claus or gingerbread cookies, for example. On the other hand, we have had a lot of free play and time to enjoy freely with friends before the Christmas break. The Christmas week has finished with a fun disco time to celebrate the beginning of the holidays! Thank you for the lovely term and see you all soon with more fun & learning together!
MAXIT: This week we created lots of beautiful Christmas decorations and made the Christmas Cards, the pictures can be seen on the Facebook page. We also visited the obstacle course near the Herttoniemi primary School as part of the walking trip activity. There was a nice atmosphere in the Day Care this week as the children were getting very excited for Christmas and we had Christmas songs playing all week.
Despite all the issues surrounding the pandemic we had a lovely end to the Christmas Season being able to celebrate it one way or another. I would like to thank all the Children and their families and the rest of my team for making me feel so welcome here at the Unit. I have truly enjoyed working and getting to know the children and would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas Holiday and New Year.

MIDIT & MAXIT
1st Week of 2022:
We will begin 2022 with combining both the Midit and Maxit groups to do activities together. We will have the normal outdoor and indoor free play and we will also do some individual and group art activities, a walking trip, and an indoor physical circuit session. The normal timetable will resume the following week.
