TÄMÄN VIIKON KUULUMISET MINIEN RYHMÄSTÄ/THIS WEEKS GREETINGS FROM MINIS GROUP:
It has been a wonderful week. We had a lot of fun with different activities. We started our week with the music session. It’s lovely to listen to music and play musical instruments especially during this autumn season. We have enjoyed the beautiful and cool weather outdoors at the National Museum´s Yard. It´s nice to see the different autumn colors! Truly autumn is a time of change. Minis have been picking up leaves and are amazed to see how the leaves´ colors have changed these autumn season. Now there are autumn leaves in their nature diary. We have been singing autumn songs and listening to poems about the squirrel.
This Saturday we are celebrating the National Handwashing Day, so we have been talking about handwashing and singing songs while showing the proper handwashing. Now Minis are aware about good handwashing practice. They even tried to show how to wash hands by themselves!
On Sunday, we are also celebrating Grandparents´ Day and Minis would like to show their appreciation to their grandparents. So they have made some lovely cards with autumn poems and with autumn leaves. Autumn is when many crops are harvested. To celebrate the harvest week, Minis made their carrot crafts. On Friday we had our Teddy bear project, and we used our sense of touch to feel different objects we collected like sand, leaves, pinecones, and pine needles. Minis were also curious to hear the different sound these things made. There are many wonderful things in nature that we can use to learn new things.
