Way Up High in the Apple Tree (Poem)
Way up high in the apple tree.
Five red apples smiled at me.
I shook the tree as hard as I could.
Down came an apple.
Mmm, it was good.

“Rain rain go away. Come again another day. Little children want to play. Rain, rain go away.” What a wonderful week for the Minis! We started the week with a beautiful and cool weather. Our group continues to have fun, play, move and learn outdoors. Minis had fun with the music session. They were clapping, moving with the beat of music and playing with musical instruments. We had our trip to the National Museum Yard where we chose our special tree. We sat down under the tree and had our morning circle there. Slowly we are seeing more variety of colors around us. Minis touched leaves and plants. They were curious about the things around them and moved around.
This week is the Ankka Football week. Minis kicked and moved with our balls during our indoor gym. It was a good practice for their motor skills. We also had our animal yoga. They saw different animal poses and try to mimic them. Arts & Crafts was fun. Minis took lovely Finnish apples and used them to stamp on their paper jars. On Friday we had Teddy Bear Project. Kids learn more about the Finnish forest and what animals they can see there. Learning continues as well as having fun in the autumn season!

Ke/Wed: Liikunta – Kehon hahmotus, tasapainoilu; temppurata omalla pihalla // P.E. – Body perception, balancing; Obstacle course at our own yard.
To/Thur: Kädentaidot – Sataa, sataa ropisee // Arts and Crafts – Rain drops
Pe/Fri: Oman lelun päivä + Nalle projekti (Suomalainen metsä) // Own toy day + Teddy Bear Project (Finnish Forest)
