VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
With another week passing quickly by, we have had a very busy week here in Lahna 1. Our week began with the ever popular “toy day”! We suggested the theme of “something special to me” and it was great to see the variation of examples brought into the kindergarten. The children were able to explain the reason for their item being special, from first baby dolls to museum cars. On Tuesday we visited a local church where the children experienced a musical concert, one of this years highlights for sure! Wednesday and Thursday have been craft activities where we have prepared for Fridays Vappu celebrations. Making party hats, decorating balloons and creating paper chains have all helped us in preparation for Fridays celebrations. Friday was PARTY DAY! The children wore excellent costumes and were able to show them off all as a group. A lovely way in which to round off this week!

VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 2:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 2:
Merihevoset/Seahorses
Aloitimme merihevosten viikon kevätaskarteluilla maalaamalla sekä piirtämällä. Tiistaina pääsimme nauttimaan Pippu papu -konsertista Lauttasaaren kirkkoon. Lapset olivat konsertista hyvin innoissaan ja tykkäsivät tehdä lauluihin liittyviä leikkejä. Keskiviikkona muskarin lisäksi jatkoimme askarteluja sekä teimme palapelejä. Torstaina nautimme kauniista kevätsäästä ja ulkoilimme pitkään hiekkakakkuja tehden. Sisällä pelasimme suuren suosion saavuttanutta Ryhmä Hau – peliä, jossa pelin ohessa harjoitellaan värejä. Perjantaina juhlimme vappua vappubileiden ja naamiaisten merkeissä.
Delfiinit / Dolphins
The Dolphins have been enjoying playing outdoors in the sunny spring weather this week. On Monday, we played in smaller groups and practiced our motor skills by beading pearls. On Tuesday, we took a trip together with Lahna 1 to the Lauttasaari church, where we got to enjoy live Pikku Papu concert. On Wednesday, in addition to enjoying the music school, we did some colourful spring craft. On Thursday, we took a trip to the nearby park, where we practiced racing and kicking footballs in pairs, which was the highlight of the Dolphins’ week. We then ended our week with our own toy day and a costume Vappu party, as Friday was a Vappu themed day. This week, the dolphins have also practiced counting, colours as well as body parts in both languages.
