The Water Stars – Vesitähdet
A nice week has been enjoyed by all at the Waterstars. Spring is in the air and the park has been mostly dry.
On Tuesday, our learning trip around the world moved to Africa! The children followed this up by making tribal masks in our crafts session. Next week we will look more closely at Egypt.
Wednesday saw us enjoy a fun visit to Toolonlahden puisto.
Pre-school children have this week learnt about numbers 7, 8, 9 and 10 using mathstory and a taskbook.
Viskari children have this week learnt about words and syllables, as well as shapes.

The Waterlilies – Lumpeet
What a beautiful week! Spring has finally found its way here. This week, Waterlilies used all their big Easter coupons. The children planned special activity for our trip day in the Natural Museum. They flew paper airplanes, roleplayed Cops and Robbers, and played Banana Tag. What a fun way to end this short week! Also, the Teacher of the Week taught us how to make a cute puppy with recycled material. This activity has definitely given our children the opportunity to show their potential and their motivation to be engaged in activities they have planned. Thank you, parents, for supporting us one more time.
Next week, we will ”Walk like an Egyptian” because we are heading to Egypt to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramid of Giza and more.
The Reeds – Kaislat
Kaislojen viikko on ollut hyväntuulinen, pirteä ja hauska! Olemme vietäneet ihanan keväistä viikkoa ja vihdoin voi taas leikkiä hauskoja hiekkaleikkejä ulkona. Tiistaina keskustelimme Marokosta ja teimme Marokkoaiheiset askartelut. Keskiviikkona jumpassa ja aamupiirissä meillä on jatkunut luonto – ja kierrätys teema. Jumpassa harjoittelimme miten erillaiset eläimet liikkuvat: kilpikonna konttaa, kenguru pomppii tasajalkaa, seepra laukkaa ja niin edelleen. Leikimme myös kierrätys leikkiä jossa ympäri huonetta oli kolmea tavara ryhmää, kukin tavara piti osata viedä oikeaan laatikkoon mahdollisimman nopeasti. Torstaina meillä oli erittäin aurinkoinen ja hauska retki Kaislojen kauan odottamaan Sammonpuistoon, ja perjantaina ollaan rennosti lopeteltu mukavaa viikkoa!
