MAXIS:
We continue with the Spring theme despite the wintery weather and the week began with Arts and craft for the Maxis group. They used a variety of materials to create some wonderful 3-d sitting ducks which are now displayed on the walls.
On Tuesday we decided to walk to the Park of Herttionemi to look for some signs of spring. It was rather limited to the sounds of birds and the buds on the trees, however the children did enjoy the 3km walk observing the Mansion House, the old traditional Finnish Restaurant and the windmill along the way.
During the music lesson on Wednesday the Viskari group continued learning to use the xylophones to the Spring themed songs whilst the Maxis continued practicing the ukulele to the spring songs. The children also on Wednesday had the task of ordering spring pictures. E.g. Caterpillar > Chrysalis > Butterfly / Seed > Seedling > Flower / Egg > Hatchling > Chick
Thursday morning the Preschool had their Finnish lesson with Titti whereby the learned about the number 0 and the Viskari Club continued learning the names of Spring animals in English and order into 3 different groups (no legs, 2 legs, 4 legs).
On Friday the Preschool had their English lesson learning about the number 0 and letter ‘M’ revision whilst the Viskari club had the task of recognising various numbers from 1-20 and draw the correct number of petals on the spring flowers.
During the week the children played together inside and outside and we also learned some new spring songs together.

MIDIS:
Tällä viikolla Mideissä on toimittu pienellä joukolla. Viikko-ohjelman ohella olemme iloinneet aurinkoisista ulkoilutuokioista ja pitkästä aikaa jälleen lumileikeistä.
Viikko alkoi kädentaidoilla. Askartelimme värikkäitä pääsiäiskoristeita; tipuja ja pääsiäisruohopurkkeja leikaten, liimaten ja maalaten. Aamupiirissä koetettiin taipua myös erilaisten lapsijoogaliikkeiden mukana.
Tiistain jumpan temppuradassa tasapainoiltiin ja kiipeiltiin, ja lisäksi palloteltiin ja harjoiteltiin lukumäärien laskemista sekä musiikin tahdissa liikkumista.
Keskiviikkona musisoitiin. Muskarissa onkin nyt siirrytty kevät- ja pääsiäisteemaisiin laululeikkeihin.
Torstain auringonpaiste tarjosi mahtavat puitteet kävelyretkelle Tuorinniemen leikkipuistoon. Nautimme kiipeilystä, keinumisestä ja erilaisista liukumäistä laskemisesta. Matkalla kävimme tervehtimässä Minejä pihaleikeissään, ja näimme jäniksen jälkiä lumessa sekä monia lintuja, kuten lokkeja, variksia, talitiaisia, varpusia.
Perjantaina vietettiin lelupäivää ja harjoiteltiin leikkitaitoja pienryhmissä, sekä luimme lasten toivesatuja.
