VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
Maistelimme tällä viikolla erilaisia eksoottisia hedelmiä. Tarjolla oli vesimelonia, hunajamelonia ja mangoa. Lapset kommentoivat muun muassa, että vesimeloni maistuu karkilta ja mango näyttää ihan auringolta. Lapset suunnittelivat myös oman sademetsä askartelun. Kuuntelimme sademetsän ääniä ja katselimme kuvia sieltä. Ideoita syntyi lehdistä, liaaneista, hiekasta, käärmeistä ja apinoista. Niistä syntyi eteiseemme suuri sademetsä näyttely kaikkien ihasteltavaksi.

Merihevoset/Seahorses
The seahorse’s group started their week with a relaxing Monday, with free finger painting of the sea and playing games in smaller groups. Seahorse’s walking trip unfortunately got cancelled again because of the stormy weather but they were very excited about indoors guided exercise session. There they really enjoyed jumping and spinning around in the room. The seahorses are really enjoying their reading sessions. 😊 Wednesday’s music school went well as usual. On Thursday, seahorses watched some videos of rainforest animals, listened to the amazing sounds of rainforest and enjoyed pretending to be the animals we saw in the videos. Jumping like a frog and pretending to be a monkey were the highlights of our activity. We ended our week with some relaxing music, dancing and free play in smaller groups indoors and outdoors. 🙂
Delfiinit/Dolphins
During this week we have been learning about the Amazon… now know in Dolphins as “the Amazing”. We learnt about animals that we could find there and about rain forests. The children already had some knowledge about these topics and already demonstrated a good understanding. Our sport session this week was full of balancing to avoid sinking sand, limbo to avoid tree branches, catching to find food and movements as jungle animals. Along with this theme we also created paper chain snakes which was a popular activity as the dolphins created their own faces for the snakes. During this week we have been using board games often during the afternoons. We used Kimble and alias on a few occasions! Our week rounded off with 2 story books about difficult and challenging feelings.
