VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
Tällä viikolla olemme matkustaneet Egyptiin. Askartelimme ison yhteisen kamelin Afrikka -seinällemme. Harjoittelimme yhteisen kohteen maalaamista ja kankaan leikkaamista saksilla. Kamelin kyttyröistä, päästä ja hännästä tuli ihanan pörröiset. Rakensimme myös erikokoisista palikoista pyramideja ja lauloimme Faaraon kissa -laulua. Perheiden mahtavat lomakuvat myös ihastuttivat ja olivat hyviä keskustelun aloituksia.

Merihevoset/Seahorses
This week the Seahorses started their week with a neighbourhood stroll, where we also stopped by to watch the other children skate in the park. As we have stayed inside more this week because of the colder weather, the Seahorses have enjoyed doing some lovely crafts with relaxing music playing in the background. The children have also enjoyed doing indoor exercise and practising some motor skills. With it being the ‘’friendship day’’ week, we have practiced more friendship skills and our week has been full of laughs and hugs. We ended our week with a fun friendship day disco full of music, dancing, musical chairs and playing with balloons.
Delfiinit/Dolphins
This week the dolphins have been busy creating and finishing off craft projects. With the colder weathers offering opportunities to stay inside, we have used the time creatively. They began their week with making valentines day cards to their friend/family of choice! We discussed valentine’s day and each child decided who they wished to gift their friendship card. Some answered parents, some friends and others… themselves! We also utilized a crafts session later in the week where the children emptied the arts cupboard of materials, decided what they would like and then created. The idea here was that they can plan their idea to create a product… a session in which we will certainly revisit. This week also had a strong emphasis on feelings, reactions and friendships with “friendship day” in mind. The group was able to discuss emotions associated with potential situations and think about what is appropriate. We ended our week with a fun disco full of break dancing, musical chairs and throwing balloons.
