VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
We started our week with a creative approach to building stories. Using group works to hold conversations with the support of story dice and picture cards are a great way to invoke children’s imaginations. As each child adds their contribution, a story develops literally from creative imagination! Our role is to encourage speech and link the scenes. Before we know it… a story unfolds! We decided to dedicate our week mainly towards developing the stories as a project so we can complete the experience with a final product… Some light reading for at home! Music school continued as normal and we were also able to get outside despite some rain this week. Outside we played a lot of “fire ball along with hide and seek. We rounded our week off with a creative reading where we follow through the story of “going on a bear hunt”.

Merihevoset / Seahorses
Merihevosten viikko alkoi ulkoilupäivällä kauniin syyssään vallitessa. Ulkona puista tippuneet lehdet ovat innostaneet lapsia leikkimään ja hyppimään lehtien seassa. Tiistaina pääsimme maalaamaan sormiväreillä sieniä ja innoikkammat jatkoivat maalaamista vielä kun sienet oli saatu valmiiksi. Keskiviikkona oli perinteinen muskari jossa lauloimme pienestä hiirestä. Torstaina kädentaidoissa askartelimme ihania siilejä, jotka laitoimme kortistamaan ruokahuoneen ikkunaa. Perjantaina ulkoilimme omalla pihalla ja keräsimme pudonneita lehtiä jätesäkkeihin.
Delfiinit / Dolphins
Dolphins have been very active this week. They started their week with role play and puppet show, which was a really fun way to start our week. On Tuesday, they had arts and crafts in the most unique style and painting with real fruits and vegetables, making their own fruit jars. We also had a yoga session at the end of the day. Wednesday’s music school went very well as usual, and the children enjoyed learning new songs. On Thursday’s colder weather, we took a very active and long walk around the harbour during which all the Dolphins walked incredibly well. We ended our week with outdoor play and collected leaves at the playground to keep ourselves warm in the cold and windy autumn weather.
