VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
This week we are enjoying the weather, whether it be rain, sunshine, or clouds! Autumn leaves have started to drop a little, but we have still been enjoying the sunshine with trips to the forest and the beach. We have also held a whole house children’s meeting this week in which we asked the children for their views and input on planning activities for the rest of the season. We talked a lot about this season’s theme – stories and how we can incorporate that into the rest of the season’s activities. The children gave really good input and ideas which we can now use for our planning sessions!

VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 2:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 2:
Time flies and the second week after summer holidays is already over! This week we had welcomed another mini duckie, that is why we have been flexible with our schedule, and we have given some time to our minis to adjust to our routine and get to know each other, also the day care spaces. Monday started with lots of free play and fun outdoors together. The week has continued with a nice story time in Finnish language, so children got to listen at a story about colours and were able to think about the colours around. At the same time, we have had our first morning circle and also a fun short music session to introduce the youngest ones to the English language. We are now more than ready to welcome the weekend!
The Dolphins’ week has been very active. This week we welcomed the rest of our friends back from the sunny summer holiday and have been getting back to the day care routine. We started our week with a play day and took a long walking trip around Lauttasaari. We have been enjoying the new toys and new scooters in our playground a lot during the outdoor play time and fortunately the weather has mostly still been warm and sunny. We had our own music day where we sang and listened to new songs on Wednesday. On Thursday we did some fun summer arts and crafts and had a lot of fun painting different flavoured ice-creams. We ended our week with some relaxing play day and learning a little about feelings and emotions.
