VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
This week we have been exploring Australia! We had some lovely items from parents given to use within our adventures, including books, toys and maps. The children have been super excited to learn about the different animals in Australia, especially Kangaroos and Koalas! We even made out own Koala paper plate crafts. The children have learnt an Australian animal dance, listened to the sound of the didgeridoo and learnt about the Great Barrier Reef. We have also been doing a lot of sledging and sliding this week, it’s not quite the weather they have in Australia right now but it’s been fun to play! Next week we will be back in the cold and having a scientific week exploring Antartica…see you there!

VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 2:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 2:
We have all been enjoying the winter weather! The children have been building snow men, sledging and having fun outdoors. Both seahorses and dolphins and been pulling each other around in the sledges which for us, has been great to see! With some milder temperatures the children have been outside and making the most of it too. Throughout the week we have continued our culture theme and experienced a learning trip to Australia. With the seahorses creating crafts, bouncing like kangaroos, and listening to Australian didgeridoos… they are aquatinted with Australia. The Dolphins already had a fantastic understanding about this week’s theme and could tell us about boomerangs and animals. They were completing an obstacle course with kangaroo jumping, koala balancing and Australian agility. The forest trip was the highlight of the dolphin’s week, getting outdoors to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate!
