VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 1:/ THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 1:
With a trip to the Leikki Museo and our Mother’s Day celebration and our last music school of the season this week we have had a very very lovely week, albeit a busy one! The Mestarit started this week with a visit to Vattuniemi School to attend a mathematics class whilst the Viskarit completed a lesson in the daycare. We then planned and made cards to give to Riikka at music school. Wednesday we had a very exciting trip to the Leikki (Toy Museum) where a guide showed us around and told us lots of interesting history of the toys. On Thursday we celebrated Mother’s Day, we prepared a poem and song in advance and performed these. Friday was spent preparing for the weekend – IT’S EUROVISION! YAY!

VIIKON TAPAHTUMAT LAHNALAHTI 2 / THIS WEEK IN LAHNALAHTI 2:
Delfiinit / Dolphins:
This week, we have been doing a lot of preparations for our Mother’s Day party on Friday. Dolphins have also been enjoying being outside in the warm sunny spring weather. On Monday and Tuesday, we completed our Mother’s Day cards, interviews as well as the gifts together with seahorses that we had made for our mums 😊 In addition, we have been having a lot of outdoor playtime in the morning and evenings. On Tuesday, we took a walking trip where children got to decide directions on where to go next by practising saying left, right, and straight. On Wednesday, we had our last music school of the season where children got to sing spring songs. On Thursday, we had baking cookies in our schedule where we went through all the ingredients that goes into baking and children got to participate by measuring, counting and mixing the batter. All the children were very proud of the final results and the incredible smell coming from the kitchen. Finally on Friday, we invited our mums to have breakfast with us and played picture bingo together with them. In the end we also got to give our cards and gifts to Mums. Wishing all mums a very Happy mother’s day again!
Merihevoset / Seahorses:
Tällä viikolla valmistelimme yhdessä delfiinien kanssa äitienpäiväjuhlaa. Maanantaina teimme askarteluja loppuun, jotta saimme kaikille äideille kauniit kortit ja kirjanmerkit valmiiksi. Lapsista oli ihanaa askarrella äideille, ja he odottivatkin kovasti, että perjantaina pääsevät antamaan äideille lahjat. Tiistaina lähdimme retkelle Lahnalahden puistoon, jossa lapset keräsivät erilaisia aarteita, kiipeilivät sekä leikkivät piilosta. Keskiviikkona olikin vuorossa tämän kevään viimeinen muskari, jossa laulettiin ja soitettiin keväisiä lauluja. Torstaina pääsimme leipomaan kaurakeksejä äitienpäiväjuhlaa varten. Yhdessä lasten kanssa teimme taikinan, ja pääsimme harjoittelemaan mittaamista, laskemista ja sekoittamista. Perjantaina oli vihdoin kauan odotettu äitienpäiväjuhla. Juhlista ja äideille annetuista lahjoista puhuttiinkin koko päivä. Kiitos kaikille juhlista sekä hyvää äitienpäivää! 😊
